October 30 is the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression. Team Navalny_NY and the Department of Russian and Slavic Studies at New York University invite you to join an evening of letter writing in support of Russian political prisoners.

🎄 This time, we will be sending New Year’s greetings to prisoners.

Participants in the New Year initiative from dozens of cities around the world wrote more than 1,500 letters and postcards last year. Take part — we will do our best to ensure that every political prisoner in Russia receives a letter by the holidays.

💔 As part of the event, portraits of critically ill political prisoners will also be presented. These works were created by artists from different countries — volunteers of the Portraits of Hope project.

🕊️ Let us show our heroes behind bars that they are not forgotten and that their lives matter deeply. Letters and postcards help people survive the inhuman conditions of imprisonment and preserve their sanity.
